8/6/2023 0 Comments Unity fbx export![]() I thought these would be diff topics, but all coming back to same place. ![]() This thread starting to converge with this one. Looked at this: GitHub - Plattar/gltf-exporter: Unit圓D GLTF2 importer and exporter toolchain, but doesn’t seem to work anymore? At least doesn’t install an export menu as per the help file. However, the FBX Exporter (an official package in Unity) only lets me export fbx models in ASCII format from script - which result in large file sizes. ![]() What gltf exporter are you referring to? I couldn’t find one that works with most recent version of Unity. Looks like an amazing tool, but didn’t seem like i could use it to export single assets? Is more like a scene exporter, yes? Please lemme know if wrong. But then, when you want to use some of the awesome assets you find, you get detoured for ages needing to also learn Unity and Blendr. The FBX Exporter also exports the following mesh attributes: Normals Binormals Tangents Vertex Colors All 8 Mesh UVs, if present Quads or Triangles Cameras The FBX Exporter exports both Game Cameras and Physical Cameras. ![]() ![]() These formats are compatible with Unreal Engine, Unity. The FBX Exporter exports multiple copies of the same Mesh as instances. I’m wanting to capture the moment when you are really excited about Babylon- ready to jump in and start coding. The models rigged with AccuRIG can be exported in animation-ready formats including FBX, USD and iAvatar. Hey! Well, i am looking for a super straight forward path from purchasing an asset in Unity asset store to using in Babylon (avoiding using/learning Unity). ![]()
